The Lotus Esprit has stood as a iconic super car since it's introduction in 1977. Norfolk's supercar received several enhancements over the years and became the objects of desire for millions of enthusiasts with screen time in such classics as the James Bond Series, Basic Instinct and Pretty Woman. 1988 brought a major redesign of the icon by legendary automotive stylist Peter Stevens. The new design smoothed and modernized the original Giorgetto Giugiaro shape from the early seventies while retaining it's aggressive stance and overall character.

This beautiful 1989 example is finished in iconic white over tan leather hides. Featuring the SE rear wing and removable solid roof panel, the car is motivated by the 910 series 2.2L 4 cylinder turbo engine capable of motivating the Lotus to speeds in excess of 150mph when new. The engine is matched to a 5 speed manual transmission. A California car, this example has 64,XXX miles on the odometer. New Alpine CD radio has been installed with iPod connectivity. The car also comes with a spare set of wheels and tires, service manuals and car cover.

The clear coat, while still in very good over al condition, is starting to exhibit the classic "spider cracking" that is typical for this model. The cracking is concentrated on the bumpers and hood. Driver seat shows some wear (see pictures). Passenger seat is perfect.
